Attendee Code of Conduct & Grounds Rules

Welcome to the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships! To ensure a safe, world-class competitive environment for our athletes and an unforgettable experience for all fans and visitors, spectators entering the venue grounds agree to adhere to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Registration Disclaimer

In the event of circumstances beyond our control that result in the cancellation of all or part of the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships, Beach Tennis Aruba will refund any eligible portion of the registration fee, as determined by the organization. No other refunds, reimbursements, or compensation will be provided for expenses such as travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by participants.

2. Ticket Purchase Disclaimer

For ticketed events, all sales are final unless the event is cancelled in full. In such cases, Beach Tennis Aruba will refund the ticket price paid, excluding any service or processing fees. We are not responsible for any additional costs, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, or personal expenses.

3. Photography, MEdia & Video Policy​

  • Personal Use Only: Spectators are welcome to capture photos and video snippets using personal mobile phones or standard handheld cameras for non-commercial, personal memories and social media sharing.

  • Strict Non-Commercial Prohibition: Selling, licensing, monetizing, or distributing any event photography, video footage, or audio recordings for commercial gain (including stock photography, third-party licensing, or paywalled platforms) is strictly prohibited. Any unauthorized commercial exploitation or violation of this policy will result in an immediate and lifetime ban from all future event editions, and potential legal action including fines and legal penalties. 

  • Prohibited Equipment: Professional camera bodies, telephoto/zoom lenses exceeding 200mm, tripods, monopods, lighting setups, sound booms, and drones (UAVs) are strictly banned without official Media Credentials.

  • No Flash Photography: Flash photography, external spotlights, and LED panels are strictly prohibited around all match courts at all times to prevent athlete distraction.

4. Copyright & Media Waiver

By registering for or attending the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships, participants, spectators, and guests grant Beach Tennis Aruba the right to capture, use, and reproduce photographs, video, and other media of the event — including their likeness — for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes, in perpetuity and without compensation. All copyrights for such materials remain the property of Beach Tennis Aruba.

5. General Disclaimer

Beach Tennis Aruba, its partners, sponsors, and affiliates accept no responsibility for any death, injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense suffered by any person — including participants, accompanying persons, partners, or caregivers — before, during, or after the event. This includes, but is not limited to, losses resulting from:

  • Services provided by third-party companies.

  • War, civil unrest, terrorist activity.

  • Natural disasters, extreme weather conditions.

  • Technical failures or interruptions.

  • Governmental or regulatory actions.

All participants and attendees are responsible for their own safety, conduct, and belongings while at the event and during any associated activities.

6. Find a Partner Tool Disclaimer

The “Find a Partner” table is provided as a public resource to help players connect for all Aruba Open 2025 event categories. By submitting your details, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All information is shared voluntarily and will be visible to the public.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

  • Aruba Open and Beach Tennis Aruba are not responsible for the accuracy of listings, communications between players, or any arrangements made as a result of using this tool.

  • Use of this tool does not guarantee that you will find a partner for any event.

  • The organizers reserve the right to edit, remove, or disable entries and/or the tool in cases of misuse or inappropriate content.

6. Match Etiquette & Court Respect

  • Zero Disruption to Play: Spectators must maintain courtesy during rallies. Please refrain from loud talking, sudden movements in a player’s line of sight, or disruptive behavior while a point is in play.

  • No Glass Bottles: Glass containers and glass bottles are strictly prohibited in the stands, bleachers, and court viewing perimeters for spectator and athlete safety. 

  • No Smoking or Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in the stands and near match courts. Smoke drift and odors directly impair competing athletes and distract from active play.

  • Court Boundaries & Player Zones: Spectators must remain within designated bleachers, grandstands, and public spectator pathways. Crossing court perimeters, entering active player zones, or accessing official areas is strictly forbidden.

  • Mobile Devices: All mobile phones and electronic devices must be kept on silent or vibrate mode near active competition courts.

7. Safety, Security & Venue Rules

  • Drones & Airspace Restrictions: Drones and unmanned aerial devices are strictly prohibited across all venue airspace under local aviation and event regulations.

  • Compliance with Staff: Spectators must comply with all instructions given by Umpire Officials, Tournament Marshals, and Security Personnel.

  • Right of Admission & Enforcement: Tournament Management reserves the right to deny entry, revoke ticket access, or escort any individual from the venue grounds without refund for failure to comply with these rules or for disruptive behavior.
     

8. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, purchasing tickets to, or attending the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
